The Bespoke Standard
Nothing is final
until the author says it is.
Every Bespoke book follows a named process you can inspect — story decisions before prose, continuity through drafting, chapter-by-chapter approval, and (on Author and Pro) two independent whole-book editorial reviews before publish.
Every book, every tier
What the platform enforces for every manuscript
These steps apply whether you are on Starter, Author, or Pro. They are the floor — not a marketing claim about finished quality.
- Story bible before prose. Your guided story choices — characters, plot discoveries, boundaries, and ending — are validated before drafting. Successful validation can start generation automatically; a separate chapter outline is optional.
- Continuity while drafting. Per-chapter continuity state and a reader-knowledge ledger track what the story has established so later chapters do not casually contradict earlier ones.
- Validation during generation. Beat and scene checks run as the draft is written so structural slips surface before you review.
- Polish pass. An advisory polish pass runs on chapters so line-level issues are visible in the Editor's Chair.
- Author approval on every chapter. Nothing is final until you say it is. You inspect, edit, and approve chapter by chapter in the Editor's Chair.
Fear of same-y generated fiction is rational. The question is whether you can see the checks. A side-by-side of these gates versus fast generators, writing canvases, and chatbots: How to Trust AI-Generated Fiction.
The Author+ editorial review
What Author and Pro add after the draft
On the Author and Pro tiers, two independent whole-book reviews run after generation. They are separate lenses — then merged so you work one findings list in the Editor's Chair.
- Structural edit pass (editor's lens). A whole-book structural review of architecture, pacing shape, and continuity at manuscript scale.
- Reader simulation (reader's lens). A whole-book pass focused on pacing, emotion, promises, and where a reader may lose the thread.
- Unified findings. Both passes merge into one stream you review and dismiss before publishing.
- Provenance documents at packaging. When you successfully package for KDP, the platform issues a Content Rights Certificate and Generation Audit Log. Each is publicly checkable at /verify.
See the process. Then decide.
The Bespoke Standard is how we work — not a promise that the draft is finished. You keep the judgment.
